Dissolved Air Flotation and Filtration (DAFF) is a new process combining Dissolved Air Flotation (DAF) and Multimedia Filter (MMF).
Sewage first combines with saturated dissolved gas water and enter the dissolved air flotation pool. A myriad of tiny bubbles caused by saturated dissolved gas water stick in floc surface, rising to the upper layer of the liquid to form a suspended sludge layer. Mud scraper equipment will scrape away the suspended sludge, and at the lower part of the clear water, a small part of the suspended solid particles is trapped in the filter material. The process has advantages of low energy consumption, compact structure, small occupation area, low construction cost and high treatment efficiency. Porous ultrafiltration membrane combines seven individual capillaries in a highly robust fiber. The water to be treated is forced through the capillaries and disperses laterally through the pores of the membrane. Suspended solids, viruses, germs and bacteria are retained inside the capillaries. The new highly selective extraction agent extract and desulfurate the catalytic cracking light and heavy gasoline, based on the similarity-intermiscibility theory. The used extraction agent can be recycled; the agent loss and the oil loss are relatively low which in turn is economical and environmental-friendly. At the same time, it does not reduce the gasoline octane. The technology is composed of a number of patents, with independent intellectual property rights.
